Garden Room

Robert and Penny had recently completed building a new home. They wanted a hut in a far corner of the garden to create an office space, occasional guest bedroom and a spot to enjoy the far reaching views.

We included lots of windows, plenty of light would create a bright space. Additionally we included our fold down wall bed and our signature oak desk.

The heart and soul of Sussex Huts is Joe. His passion for working with wood stretches as far back as his early childhood, visiting his grandfather and watching him work on his own carpentry projects.

Joe’s work is meticulous, testament to his years of training and working to restore period properties through traditional quality carpentry. Following an opportunity to help some friends, Joe discovered that his real passion is in creating traditional Shepherds Huts.

A mix of old world quirky charm and creative building projects, Joe now creates spaces that people love and call home.
